SpeedBox was one of the very early Speedometer Apps for the iPhone. Take advantage of my experience and the refined algorithms that can get a much greater accuracy from the iPhone then a lot of other apps. I regularly update my application to make it even more accurate and usable.
Users have already used our application to verify the accuracy of their car's speedometer or they tried measuring the speed they achieved while skiing. Can you come up with more ideas? How about measuring the speed of the airplane you travel with?
USAGE NOTES
========================
The "GPS strength" indicator in the top left corner should display a green dot. You can tap this indicator to display the current GPS accuracy.
Please allow the application up to a minute to find enough satellites to work correctly.
If you get a message to enable GSP, please go to ”Settings > General > Location Services“ on your iPhone and check if the little switch is set to "On" for Speed Box as well as for "Location Services" in general.
ATTENTION iPod touch users! Unfortunately this app doesn't work very well on the iPod touch and the iPad WiFI (without 3G) since these devices are missing a GPS!

HUD VIEW is awesome/ HUD view é impressionante
The speed gauge itself is not useful, since every navigation software does that, but the HUD VIEW is AWESOME. Some minor bugs when turn landscape in HUD view, of course it will be corrected in future versions (i hope).
The speedometer works well, but you can't use any other app like gps navigation (of course). The worth of the money is the HUD view! At night you can clearly see the speedometer at the windshield, better than the screenshot!. Good to avoid switching the view between instrument gauge/road all the times, when speed traps are closer.
If you answer a lot of calls it's wasted money, because you need to put it very close to windshield to use HUD view, over the dashboard, making it hard to pickup and answer calls.
Fair price.

O velocímetro em si não tem muita utilidade, já que qualquer navegador possui, mas a opção hud view é impressionante. A velocidade reflete no parabrisa, e vc consegue dirigir olhando só para a estrada, sem se preocupar em olhar sempre pro painel com medo dos radares. Obviamente só funciona a noite, e na estrada, porque na cidade com uma certa claridade a tela não reflete. Funciona melhor do que o screenshot que o desenvolvedor publicou!
Precisa colocar em cima do painel, de preferência sobre uma borracha para não escorregar nas curvas, e posiciona-lo bem perto do parabrisa, pro efeito hud view surtir efeito. Se vc não atende muitas ligações enquanto está viajando (para não ficar tirando ele da posição), vale a pena. Fica parecendo painel de carros ultra-luxuosos, onde a velocidade aparece no parabrisa. E o software é bem preciso na medição.
Percebi um pequeno bug quando na opção hud view, ao girar pra paisagem, mas creio que será corrigido em breve.
Vale o preço que pedem.
