My Sword & Shield is a freely available, ad-free, and feature-rich King James Bible app that is designed to build your faith in Jesus Christ as the saviour of the world and to significantly enhance your Bible study experience!
My Sword and Shield also promotes the King James Bible as the word of God for English speakers. It does so by providing you with a growing database of the major changes in modern Bible versions in comparison to the KJV. All Bibles do not say the same thing and often say opposing things. This means that it matters which Bible you use!
The app improves your Bible study experience by offering a suite of features at your fingertips, some of which are only currently available in My Sword & Shield. The main features of the app are as follows:
FREE FEATURES:
- Ad-Free: Don't get distracted by inappropriate ads while reading Scripture.
- Offline Mode: Read the KJV and save your study notes while offline.
- Cloud Sync: Sync your study data securely and feely to the cloud.
- Audio Bible: Listen to the KJV by verse or chapter as narrated by Dan Wagner.
- Dictionary: Access the meaning of most words in the KJV with a built-in dictionary.
- Change Indicators: Interactive indicators of verses of the KJV that have been altered or removed by modern versions.
- Bible Versions Comparison Database: Access to a growing database of differences between the King James Bible and modern versions.
- Compare Versions: Compare the King James Bible to modern English versions in the Public Domain. Almost all modern versions are copyrighted. Apparently, the words of God are owned by the publishers of modern versions, not God.
- Sermons & Studies Weekly sermons and messages to strengthen your faith in Jesus as the only saviour. You can interact with these sermons by commenting, liking or disliking them.
- Quizzes: Improve your knowledge of Scripture by taking quizzes from a growing database of questions!
- Memory Verses: Save verses and passages you would like to memorise.
- Folders & Subfolders: Organise your passages in your personal folders for a structured study experience.
- Bookmarks: Bookmark passages that are important to you.
- Notes: Save your own notes on verses and passages.
- Underline: Underline key words you would like to emphasise.
- Highlight: Highlight words or entire verses.
- Bold: Bold words for another means of emphasis.
- Cross-References: Make your own cross-references between passages.
- Copy: Copy verses that you can easily use in discussions and posts.
- Share: Share passages from the KJV with other apps and contacts.
- Search: Search the KJV for key words and phrases.
- Red Letters: The words of Jesus in red letters.
- Themes & Styles: Several options for theme colours and text sizes.
PREMIUM FEATURE:
- Personalised Memory Verse Notifications: Improve your recollection of Scripture by subscribing to receive device notifications of your saved memory verses at your desired schedule. You will also be supporting the development and maintenance of My Sword & Shield so that it can remain free. This is the only paid feature in the APP. This costs only US $0.99/monthly.
