Kalis Ilustrisimo is a Blade-Oriented vs. Stick-Based. Techniques are designed for use with swords, knives, and machetes, emphasizing cutting angles and realistic weapon engagement. Movements prioritize edge awareness, which is crucial when using live blades.
Other FMA Systems like Modern Arnis or Doce Pares) use the rattan stick as a training proxy, often focusing first on sticks and later transitioning to blades.
